circa 1900, with round 24in. barrel, dove-tailed 'Rocky Mountain' nickel-bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, the solid frame marked 'MARLIN SAFETY' on the top and fitted with detachable sideplate, the top-tang with model designation, walnut butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, plain walnut fore-end and full length under-barrel magazine tube
